EDUCATION & TRAINING

The Virginia Water Well Association provides education and training opportunities to its members to help them increase their proficiency in the rapidly changing industry.

Workshops and training sessions are provided primarily at VWWA meetings. They are also available through the association’s affiliation with the South Atlantic Well Drillers Jubilee. In 2001, the association initiated its voluntary continuing education and certification program.

VOLUNTARY EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

VWWA sponsors a voluntary continuing education program. Nearly 80 percent of the association’s members are currently enrolled. Participants are required to accumulate 7 credit hours during a one year period. Appropriate courses can be taken at Virginia meetings, and at other recognized state, regional or national water well conferences and trade shows.
