VWWA is Supporting a Veteran Organization
Early in April of this year, Amanda Baity, Co-Founder of Semper K9, approached the Virginia Water Well Association with the hope that we could provide support to their charitable program in the form of a water well.
As a Veteran owned nonprofit, their organization focuses on obtaining dogs, training them to be certified service animals and then connecting them with any Veteran that is in need. Amanda’s husband and co-founder, Chris Baity discovered a need to support his brother and sisters in the military when they were paying great sums of money for animals that were far from service material. Knowing how to train animals, Chris jumped at the opportunity to remedy a situation and thus began the development of a program that has become well known throughout veterans across the United States, as well as, TV personality Mike Rowe; where he featured the Baity’s in an Episode of Returning the Favor. Outgrowing their home, Semper K9 is breaking ground in Woodbridge where their new facility is being constructed this fall which will provide more room to train even more dogs and the veteran owners that these dogs will serve.
VWWA contacted Scott Miller with Northern Virginia Drilling for support in constructing this well. Scott and his company have agreed to construct their well which is scheduled to begin in the next two weeks.
Thank you for all of the SUPPORT! We are fully covered to install the water well! Check back for updates!
